a horse

Horse Safe will be useful for all horse people: from a child who has just bought their first horse (or is horse-mad and just dreaming of that event), strappers in sporting events, pony club members, jockeys and trainers, casual horse riders, through to serious competitors. It is a significant tool that will add to horse people’s understanding of what makes their horse tick, the reasons behind many of the safe handling rules already in place, and the principles that underpin the decisions we should be making to keep ourselves, our loved ones and the public safe as they interact with horses. AHSE is pleased to endorse Horse Safe as a valuable tool for all people who are interested in or who work with horses. It is a significant source of interesting insights into the horse’s psyche as well as confirmation of conventional wisdom about the horse, along with myth-busting some common practices and beliefs. A fascinating and enthralling read for all horse people! Paul Davenport and Nina Arnott Clinic Instructors, Association for Horsemanship Safety and Education in Australia Inc. August 2005
